Fashion hack
31st March 2020

We have been approached to be part of a Sustainable Fashion Conference that is being held at the University of Leeds on the 31st March.  The exact format is to be agreed – but we plan to explore the following issue:

  •  It’s estimated that 4000 tonnes of clothing and textiles end up in Leeds householders’ black bins each year.  How can we get more of that reused or recycled?

Zero Waste Fashion Week
17th-25th April 2020

We are organising a Zero Waste Fashion Week (17th-24th April 2020). The week will be a series of events based on achieving the following objectives, at different venues across Leeds:

  • Sharing practical ways for people in Leeds to manage the impacts of their clothing choices
  • Exploring reasons why sustainability in fashion is so important
  • Celebrating the rich textile heritage of Leeds
  • Building a #ZeroWasteFashion movement

We will be hosting a couple of events during the week, and are also looking for other people that would be interested in hosting their own events, which we can promote. We’re working on finalising the details of these events and will have more information soon.

Please get in touch if you are interested in hosting an event! Sign up to to the mailing list or join the ‘Zero Waste Fashion – Leeds‘ Facebook group to keep updated about this week.
